I draw house portraits so you can always come home.
Home is so important. It’s where we make memories, raise families, and snuggle pets. It’s where we can always be ourselves and where we come to relax at the end of a long day. If you’re moving and want to bring your current place along with you, a house portrait is the perfect way to do so.

PROJECT BACKGROUND
I started drawing houses because I’m a very sentimental person. In 2008 my husband and I bought the sweetest little townhouse and spent five years there - five years of milestones (moving in together! Getting engaged! Adopting a dog! Getting married!), five years of renovating to make the space our own, five years of learning and growing and making fun memories. When we decided to move, I was really sad to leave the house behind.
One night after starting to settle into our new home, I found myself still missing the old one. I pulled up a photo of the front of the house and started drawing it in Illustrator. To make it extra special, I added the address in a banner and wrote “Our First Home” in the grass. I also added two little robins on the roof because one of my favourite things about our house was the robins that would nest under the top deck every spring. It’s been six years but I still remember that house so fondly and love that I can keep a little piece of it forever with my adorable portrait.

3. Send reference photos to me through Etsy messenger
4. Message me with any details that you would like to include (eg. Birds or wildlife that often come by, the season you would like to have in the portrait, specific plants you’d like included, etc.)
5. Get excited - you’ll receive your first draft within two weeks of the date that you send your reference images. If you need something sooner, please let me know. Rush orders may be accommodated depending on workload and may require an additional fee
